Dear ATUSA 2020 Competition & Festival Participants
It is with the utmost pain and deep sadness, but also with the sense of love and responsibility that I, Andrea Monti, the Organizer and Director of ATUSA, Argentine Tango USA Official Tango Championship and Festival, have to tell you that our 10th year anniversary is CANCELLED.
I know the disappointment this will bring to all ATUSA attendees, and especially to the competitors, as I know what it has taken them to get ready. We planned our 10 Year Anniversary Celebration a year ago with passion and love, and have worked very diligently taking care of every detail, not to mention the big financial effort that an official event of this magnitude and significance requires. Cancelling ATUSA after an entire year of hard work and high costs of production, was tough and heart breaking, and we are now struggling with the financial consequences as there are expenses we will not be able to recoup.
As you all know, ATUSA has promoted the tango culture and contributed enormously to the education of all aspects of the Argentine Tango dance all over the USA. ATUSA has brought together the very best in terms of both competitors and maestros, offering a unique opportunity for competing couples to shine in a high level competition, has launched many couples to a professional tango career and produced 15 (fifteen) Official USA Tango Champion couples who represented the USA at the Tango BA Dance World Cup. Not only that, ATUSA has also offered endless of spectacular amazing shows and word class workshops by the top internationally renowned maestros.

Since ATUSA 2020 event was cancelled on March 15, the organization is now closing the allowed period of one month to choose among the options given regarding your 2020 registration fees.
The announced deadline, April 15, 2020, was already communicated in previous emails, newsletters
and was posted on this website.
The few participants who have not contacted us yet, should do it before this deadline
Please take into account that after the deadline - April 15, 11.30pm CA time-,
your deposit is NON REFUNDABLE.
