MAGDALENA GUTIERREZ

Magdalena Gutierrez is a world-renowned tango dancer, choreographer, and educator.

She won the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires in 2017 with former dance partner, Germán Ballejo, with whom she performed and taught in over 40 countries, captivating audiences with their artistry and passion for the dance. Through their project, FindYourTango, they contributed to the global tango community, offering workshops, performances, and educational initiatives that bridge the past and future of tango.

Magdalena has recently started partnering and working with maestro, dancer, and choreographer Luis Berruti.

Magdalena’s tango journey began in Buenos Aires, where she trained with some of the most prominent tango masters. She soon became a fixture at major tango venues such as Complejo Tango, Piazzolla Tango, and Gala Tango, where she gained invaluable performance experience. Magdalena expanded her career internationally with leading roles in productions like Tanguera at the National Theatre of Argentina, Evita in South Korea, Chantecler Tango in Paris and Tokyo, and Divino Tango (Spain, Italy, Greece). She was also a member of the “Cuadro de Jóvenes” at the National Academy of Tango, further solidifying her place in the tango world.

Magdalena has also been a JUDGE at various international championships, including:
