Fernando Bertola

Fernando was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently living in San Diego, California.
He started dancing Argentine Tango in 2007. 

Throughout his career, he has danced with various companies and tango dinner shows, including Señor Tango, Café Tortoni, Opera Tango, and Tempo Tango, and has traveled to several countries in Asia and Europe to perform and teach. Fernando adapts to different styles: tango salón, milonguero, tango nuevo, and even stage tango. Recently, he has also incorporated Latin ballroom dances into his repertoire, such as rumba, salsa, and bachata.

Miguel Martinez

Miguel is from Venezuela, where he started dancing and studying tango, – currently living in San Francisco.
He refined and perfectionated his dance style in Buenos Aires and Colombia. He’s been dancing Argentine tango for over 12 years.

Miguel is a tango instructor and works as a taxi dancer in Bay Area and Florida as well. In addition, he dances tropical rhythms like salsa and bachata. He’s a popular taxi dancer in San Francisco.

Victor Rua

Victor is from Buenos Aires, currently living in Austin, Texas. he has over 15 years of experience as a teacher and a dancer worldwide. (He has taught and danced in Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Georgia, Armenia, Switzerland, Bolivia, Mexico, and the United States).

His style is versatile due to his experience, ranging from traditional tango salon, milonguero, fancy style (stage) and “nuevo”. He can guarantee tailored, funny, comfortable, and challenging tandas. He speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.

Hai Ho Tran

Hai Ho was born in Vietnam and now makes his home in the San Francisco Bay Area. A dancer of the Tango Salón style, he moves with a quiet intensity that speaks of devotion, longing, and elegance. For over 25 years, Hai has studied under some of Argentina’s most esteemed tango maestros, shaping his dance into a language of the heart. He often graces galas and intimate soirées with performances that echo the timeless romance of Buenos Aires. By day, he navigates the world of finance—but by night, he offers private lessons, sharing the tender magic of tango with those who wish to dance not just with their feet, but with their soul.

Taxi dancer Tanda Ticket Conditions

  1. Sale system will be per tanda for afternoon milongas, practica and evening milongas.
  2. There will also be a 3 tanda discounted pack available for purchase with same taxi dancer for evening milongas.
  3. Tickets must be bought at the Festival reception desk from 11.30 am to 12 midnight (cash only).
  4. Sale system on a first come first serve basis.
  5. Tanda tickets are available for purchase “for today“. (Tickets purchased today cannot be used for tomorrow’s sessions).
  • Pricing Options:
    • Cost per tanda ticket for an evening milonga: $40
    • Pack of 3 (three) tanda tickets for evening milongas: $100.
    • Cost per tanda tickets for practicas or matinee milongas: $30.
  • Taxidancer-Specific:
    • Each tanda ticket or a Pack fo 3 tandas is assigned to a specific taxi dancer.
  • Date and Session-Specific:
    • Tickets indicate the specific day and session (practica, matinee, or evening milonga) they must be used (a ticket for one day or session cannot be used on a different day or for a different session).

    NOTE:
    Evening Milongas:
    Once you purchase your tanda ticket(s), please head to the Taxi Dancer table, which will be located next to the Gateway Ballroom entrance. The Taxi Dancer Coordinator will be there to introduce you to your dancer.

    Matinee Milongas/Practicas: Once you purchase your tanda ticket(s), please head to the Taxi Dancer table, which will be located next to the Pugliese or the Gateway Ballroom entrance. (Matinees and practicas on Friday and Saturday are in Pugliese Ballroom; the Matinee and Practica on Sunday are in Gatway Ballroom/
